Artificial intelligence (AI) is becoming increasingly common in many industries, which is having a noticeable impact on the labor market. A recently published report analyzing this topic indicated that AI has significantly reduced the demand for copywriters, programmers, and graphic designers. The work of these professions can be partially or even completely automated by modern technologies that are capable of performing tasks that previously required human involvement.
he automation of creative processes, such as writing articles or graphic design, using advanced AI algorithms, results not only in changes to the employment structure but also raises questions about the future of these professions. Will these specializations survive in a world where intelligent machines play an increasingly important role?
Klarna, a well-known financial technology (fintech) giant, laid off as many as 5,000 employees in 2023. However, the company did not stop the restructuring process, planning further cuts that will include an additional 2,000 positions. Artificial intelligence plays a key role in the automation processes that are increasingly used by technology companies.
In the case of companies such as Klarna, AI accelerates and optimizes many operations, such as credit risk analysis, customer service, and offer personalization. However, the automation of these processes leads to a reduction in the number of employees needed to handle tasks that previously required human participation. As a result, artificial intelligence, although it improves the operational efficiency of companies in many aspects, contributes to mass layoffs.
One interesting example of using artificial intelligence is a bot created by a programmer from India, which applied for 1,000 job positions. It was invited to 50 interviews, which shows how much AI can facilitate recruitment processes and increase their effectiveness.
Automating job applications using a bot is one of the innovative examples of artificial intelligence application. This system is able to analyze job offers, match answers to recruitment questions, and automatically apply for appropriate positions. The efficiency of such a solution shows how quickly artificial intelligence can revolutionize HR processes and influence the labor market – not only from the perspective of candidates but also the companies themselves, which use automated tools for CV selection.
The European Commission has intensified its activities in the field of artificial intelligence regulation, which aims to better understand and supervise the dynamically developing AI market. One step is the search for an AI Policy Officer. The task of such a person will be to monitor industry trends and oversee the largest players, such as Google and OpenAI, which dominate the market and shape the future of this technology.
Such a position indicates the growing interest of governments and EU institutions in regulating AI, which aims to ensure an adequate level of control and supervision over a technology whose development is progressing at a dizzying pace. Due to potential threats, such as a lack of transparency in decisions made by algorithms or the risk of market monopolization, appropriate regulatory policy is needed.

Although artificial intelligence is becoming increasingly advanced and ubiquitous, many questions about its future remain unanswered. Will AI be able to surpass human intelligence? Will this technology remain under human control, or will it become autonomous, which could lead to unforeseen consequences?
Concerns related to the future of artificial intelligence concern not only technological capabilities but also ethical issues. AI's ability to make decisions that can affect people's lives raises questions about responsibility, morality, and control over what decisions are made by algorithms. For many observers, the key challenge will be ensuring that artificial intelligence serves humanity and does not act to its detriment.

Artificial intelligence significantly impacts professions related to writing, programming, and graphic design, where automation can replace human work.
AI can automate many aspects of recruitment, but human evaluation is still needed at some stages, especially in more complex processes.
The most important concerns relate to the control over AI, its autonomy, and the potential threats associated with its unethical use.
