In this article, we will present two approaches to creating AI tools that help in choosing gifts, each based on a different idea and methodology.
How does the personalised gift selection model work?
One of the ideas presented was to create a model based on GPT technology that simulates the human thought process when choosing a gift. The key element was to create detailed instructions on which the AI could base its decisions. This model took two key aspects into account:

Once these rules had been developed, the AI model could ask the user questions to better understand their needs and suggest specific, realistic solutions.

Using YouTube and AI for gift recommendations
The second approach was to use content available on YouTube. On this platform, many people share their gift recommendations for various occasions. Creating an AI tool that analyses such content provides access to ready-made ideas and their detailed descriptions.
How does it work?
1. Transcription of video materials
AI tools processed videos, creating transcripts and identifying recommended products.
2. Creating tables with gifts
The data from the transcripts was then converted into organised lists containing information about the suggested gifts, their use, price, and links to the specific part of the film where they were mentioned.

3. Building a ‘YouTube Gift Guide’
Based on the collected data, a tool was developed that allows users to quickly search for gift ideas tailored to different needs and budgets.

Examples of AI in practice
Example 1: Gifts for the boss
AI was asked for gift suggestions for a boss aged 40–45 who is interested in extreme sports, technology and business, with a budget of up to PLN 250. In response, it suggested, among other things, technological gadgets and accessories related to mechs and meerkats – hobbies indicated by the user.
Example 2: Gifts up to PLN 50
The tool selected an electronics cleaning brush – a practical and affordable gadget recommended by one of the popular YouTube creators.
Example 3: Gifts for someone who cares about their appearance
AI identified the Philips SenseIQ curling iron as the perfect gift for a beauty-conscious girl, providing a link to a video review of the product.
